Bogus or Inappropriate Profiles... what to do...

Although we do have profile reviews, comment reviews, etc. in place,
we don't work 24 hours a day or 7 days a week, and sometimes a profile
change may be made that we don't find right away. We don't review
profile changes prior to allowing them to be posted, because we
feel that the vast majority of our members are valid Christians
and not trying to create bogus profiles. So your changes go
immediately into effect so that you can start using the site
right away.

Our teen daughter is in charge of profile reviews and although
she does a very good job, some terms or situations may get past
her as she is not aware of the underlying tone of certain terms
or things said -- not being an adult and not being subjected to
movies or things of this world. You, as adults, are seriously
studying every word for meaning and notice these things much
more easily, so please be patient, and simply report offenses
found. We appreciate those members who kindly inform us, and
we are quick to remove the offending profile. You may use the
new CONTACT US TO REPORT THIS PROFILE AS BOGUS link now found at
the bottom of all profiles.

Our Terms of Use, which I doubt many actually read, says this:

'Our site is for heterosexual Christian single men to meet
heterosexual Christian single women and visa versa. We do
not cater to non-Christian religions or non-heterosexual
preferences. Our site does allow members who have become
married as a result of using our site, to retain their
profiles because they wish to use our chat rooms and keep
in contact with their friends, but we do not allow married
people to create accounts and use our site for purposes of
finding a date. (If you find someone like this on our site,
please report them.) We do allow members to select the Married
and Separated categories so others can be aware and weed out
those they do not wish to meet. We do not encourage Separated
members to join until after they are divorced, however, we
realize if we did not allow that category, they might indicate
they are Divorced, when they are not. By providing those
categories, you may weed out those who don't meet your desired
criteria.'

I once received a scathing rebuke from someone for allowing
heterosexuals to use our website, so let me define this:
'Sexually oriented to persons of the opposite sex.'

As indicated in the TERMS OF USE, we do have married and
engaged members who found one another on our site and want
to remain online so that they can stay in touch with their
friends. We don't have a problem with that and have created
a new marital status category: 'Married - Thanks to this site!'
We have tried to upload a couple photo for the primary photo
of these members if they have not done so already. This way,
it will help avoid confusion.

We have only 14 married members remaining on our site, at the time of this writing, that
did not marry as a result of our site. Those members indicate
they are looking for Penpals or use of the Chat room. As
Christians, I hope you can realize that some people are in
remote locations and are looking for fellowship with other
Christians.

We also realize that those in the Separated category are not
going to have positive results on our site if they are looking
for dating at this point, but we don't wish to turn them away,
as many are looking for friendships and ease from their heartbreak.
But you know this up front, so you won't go into a relationship
with them blindly, because you know their category, (as opposed
to other sites that don't offer a separated category, so they
may indicate they are divorced when they really are not).

We occasionally go through a check to delete those members who
are Married and looking for a relationship. However, the check
is run only occasionally so we might not catch them as soon as
you find them. Feel free to report them to us.

Anyway, we hope this clarifies our stand on these issues. If
anything about this message makes you upset, please REREAD it before
contacting us, as you may have just misunderstood something the first
time.
