Do you believe solely in Creationism, or Evolution, a combination, or something else?
[Note from Nannette: In case you wonder, Larry and I believe solely in the Creation account
in the Bible.]

'You may use my alias' I believe in God therefore I believe totally in Creation as described in Genesis. I personally don't understand how some people can believe in both but they do.

I believe in creation by the Godhead. God created us with the genetic ability to be fruitful, multiply and REPLENISH THE EARTH. To fulfil this, He gave us the ability to adapt to live all over the earth in various climates and at various altitudes. Over the thousands of years since creation, we have adapted to various climates to the glory of God. This is not evolution in the sense of Darwinism, but a God-given ability to genetically mutate. This mutation has created the various ‘races’ that we see today.
In Psalm 139:14 the Bible says ’I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are thy works and that my soul knoweth right well.’ Amen.
The animals have also mutated and developed various species after each pair that God created initially. In a single human lifetime, we can witness genetic mutation of a particular species to result in a different species. It doesn’t take millions of years for this mutation to occur.
In the days of Charles Darwin, scientific knowledge was relatively limited. Since then we have discovered that what scientists had assumed to be true is actually false. Darwin could never have proposed evolution in the 21st century! The biological case for evolution has been blown apart by new scientific discoveries that PROVE the fact that there must have been a Creator of all life that we see. Every other field of science also has a strong case against the theories of evolution.
Those who doggedly stick to evolution are those who are unwilling to face the implications of having a Creator to answer to.

Hello dear Nannette and Larry, It was amazing to see the new topic Evolution vs Creation as we have just watched couple of video tapes from Kent Hovind who has been called to teach on this subject. Obviously, as a Christian we know that God created the world exactly as it is described in the Genesis. Watching the above mentioned videos has given me (and to all of those who watched them in my church) plenty of sound answers to many questions that before I wasn't able to answer. There is a web site www.drdino.com and the videos can be downloaded. Brother Kent doesn't mind if anybody takes copies of anything because nothing is copyrighted; his goal is to teach the truth of the gospel. He also has a 250 000$ offer to anybody who can give 1 (one) scientific evidence for evolution (nobody claimed it for many years!) Personally, I have made the decision that I will trust and believe the word of God 100% even if I don't understand everything; and if I am to trust the wisdom of men: that would be very unwise!!!! Once, when I couldn't understand something I was praying about it and the Lord clearly spoke to my heart saying: I have never asked you to understand me; I asked you to trust me. Since then I do exactly as I was told. I have to admit that before watching the above mentioned tapes I was confused because of so called evidences of evolution and obviously 'brainwashed' during my school years but now more than ever I am 100% convinced about the Biblical account of Creation. The other thing which is important to understand is that the evolution theory has caused many people not to believe the Bible and to even turn away from God - which should be a warning sign to all of those who compromise with the Word of God. God is very serious about His Word (and let us praise Him for that) and the danger is that if we take one word under question - then, what CAN we believe? In II Peter 1:20 clearly says that the 'Scripture is not of private interpretation' and also in II Peter 3:3-7 we can clearly see that in the last days people will deny 2 things: the Creation of the world by the Word of God and the flood. There are so many Scriptures in the Book of Psalms and not to forget the Book of Job (chapters 38,39,40,41) when God speaks to Job about His Creation.... We better do as Job did at the end.... I pray that the eyes of understanding will be opened and that the people of God will be willing and obedient to the truth of our God.
God bless you all! (I don't mind my identity to be disclosed) Mariela

calmwaters10 I believe in the only theory creation. Yes I have an unbendable belief.

I believe that the Lord God created all things, I know that nothing evolved from a slime pit and evolved into what we call a living being, animal or bird. I believe that the almighty creator of the universe is who He says He is and did what the bible says He did PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From a purely Biblical standpoint, it's pretty obvious that God's Word says the universe was created in pretty much the state we see it today. If we look at a basic theory of science (since very few things in science move beyond a theory), it pretty much negates the possibility of macro-evolution, which is the kind most people mean when they say evolution. That theory is that things are constantly moving into disorder and chaos, but you might say that if evolution means that a vast number of changes happen, not all of them can end in chaos, but that's exactly what this undisputed theory states. So I'll go with Creation any day, mostly because my Lord says it's so, and also because science backs Him up. I'd even say that it takes more blind faith to believe evolution than creation. Thanx for reading, and if you want to write me about this, just check my profile.

I believe that micro-evolution happened after the flood. Noah's ark couldn't have fit all the species of the world today even though it was so big. Besides how could a Polar Bear be there when no ice world existed then.

I solely believe in what the Bible says, Creation. ' Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.' (Hebrews 11:3)

At first creation seems simple and easy to digest. However, the more I have been educated in the sciences the more I have grown to accept evolution. I am finding that God is rather vast in his creations. Amazing! Surely, if God were to ask us to listen to his creation story, on his level, none of us would listen. We were simple minded and needed a simple version.

To the christian it is a no brainer. We know for a fact that God created the heaven and the earth and everything in it as accounted for in the first chapter of Genesis. But, for the skeptic, those who have been befuddled by the so called experts, let me fill you in on what they won't teach in public schools about evolution. First of all they are teaching evolution as a fact, not a theory. Evolution is just a theary that can not be proven. It also goes against scientific laws which have been proven. It goes against the Law of Biogenesis, which states that life comes from life. Life can not now, nor has it ever come from that which is not living. The First Law of Thermodynamics states that energy and matter cannot be created or destroyed. Energy cannot be created from nothing, though it can be broken down to a simpler form. Just the opposite of evolution. The Second Law of Termodynamics states that some energy will always become unusable. Everytime you use up all of the usable energy it is converted to unusable energy. This means that every thing deteriorates with time and material things cannot last. Take our own bodies for example. From the day we are born we begin the process of dying and will eventually become dust and debris. If you examine the dust you will see molecules in action, but the energy is now unusable. The Laws of Mathematics and Probability show us that to have a monkey type something as simple as Genesis 1:1, it would take a Billion monkeys 120,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 years before even one monkey would type it right. If evolutionists were right about the age of the earth, they clain it is 30,000,000,000 year old, then we should still be swinging from trees and picking the fleas from one anotheer for billions of centuries still to come. And the Laws of Heredity show us that like produces like.Even with mutations ( of which are fatal 99.9% of the time ) one species still produces offspring of the same species but with slight variences from the original. Take into account of the calf born with two heads. Yes there is a mutation and yes it is different for all the others, but it is still just a cow. You see, you have been lied to all these years about things that just don't make any sense when you have the facts. The only logical explanation is the one given to us in Genesis. It is the only explanation which is supported by the scientific laws of nature and cannot be refuted by any laws of science. The only thing evolutionists have to try to fight against creationism are theories, and very loose theories at that. They wish to dehumanize and trivialize mankind in order that they may hold themselves unaccountable to any 'supreme being' for their actions, perversions, and sins. I for one have been created ,as we all have, in the image of God and take it as a personal insult, not only to my intelligence, but as an attack on my God. Don't just take my word on this subject. I encourage you to please, researh the facts for yourself.

I have studied this fairly extensively and I am convinced that God's word is a true and accurate account of our origins. When God revealed these events to Moses; who recorded them; the Spirit of God directed his writing so that it is Divine truth. I am compelled to accept this by His Spirit and I am compelled to accept this when I study those things which are made by His hand. Design and order demand a designer. Although the world was placed under the curse of sin; when Adam sinned in the Garden; and it is no longer the perfect place it was we can still see the wonderful hand of God's design on it. Evolution demands order to be the result of chaos and this does not fit within the laws of nature that have been established by God. Which reminds me; evolutionists recognize the laws of nature and try to prove their theory based upon these laws. The thing they neglect to recognize is that these laws are the result of design and order established by someone; a designer of the universe. We would not have these laws of nature is God had not established them from the beginning. Anyone can study the laws of nature and see very quickly that nature does not improve upon itself. This world is slowly decaying. It has been since the curse of sin and death. Things are not naturally improving; but rather, they naturally break down. Because of this natural order of things evolution is an impossiblity. This is one of the reasons I believe that God did not 'create the world through evolution'. If this were true then we would have to say that at some point God changed the natural order of things and changed the laws of thermodynamics after we evolved. If this were true then the entire creation account is a fabrication and I can't trust the word of God because He lies. What other lies might I find in the scriptures? Now, I don't believe God lies and I believe His word is true. Therefore evolution is a lie; whether we are talking evolution without there being a God or whether we are talking about God using evolution as a means to bring about His creation. We are fearfully and wonderfully made by a loving God who is perfect in all His ways.

I believe that God, the universal intelligence, created everything. But I am very disillusioned with what I perceive as an argument about the details of creation, which distracts us from living a Christ like existence. I believe the Bible outlines the basis for the creation of our universe, but many Christians get bogged down in debating, sometimes mean spiritedly, the way it happened. I believe the Bible was divinely inspired, but is it possible that certain aspects have been misinterpreted? Specifically, is the concept of time as recorded in the Bible something that is inflexible? Is there no possibility that the seven days of creation were actually much longer segments of time? I don't know the answer to these questions but as I look around at this miraculous world I am sure that this planet is a very old creation. I don't believe that creation was a random occurrence and do not buy in to the strict idea of evolution, but I can entertain the idea that God could have used any means he desired to create life that could include some of the concepts of evolution. When I create something I make improvements as I see the need until I approach something akin to perfection. And while I see God's creations as perfection I don't see why he wouldn't have seen ways to improve or enhance his art along the way. For me it comes down to a problem of reconciling the Biblical concept of time with what God inspires me to observe. I think he spent a lot of time to make our miraculous lives.

As a Christian, I take seriously the Creation accounts of Genesis, but I also believe in evolution. Let me explain: Genesis reveals to us the kind of God who has made this world--a Being of order and goodness, who has made an orderly and 'very good' world. But the scripture gives no hint of the vast ages of time which have occurred in planetary history, and the deep age of animal and human life of this planet. The Bible does use the simple and beautiful metaphors of speaking (Gen 1) and shaping by hand (Gen 2) to describe God's intimate and creative actions in making all things, but does not tell us HOW these were made. So WHO and WHY the world was created is given by the theology of the Bible, but not the HOW or WHEN. For the latter, we are dependent on the sciences. The best theory so far is the theory of evolution, but it is a theory, and will keep adapting as new information arrives by research.
Like many great Christians and writers of modern times (such as C.S. Lewis) I see little conflict between the stories of creation and evolution. I understand Genesis to be a revelation of the creative power of God in the language of Chaldean-Hebrew world of 3,000 years ago, adapted to their understanding. If Genesis was inspired by God to be written today, it would be written in language reflected our contemporary understanding of science and the cosmos, and would no doubt be eloquent and beautiful.
The view that I hold is not an accommodation to evolution. I do not try to fit the days of creation into an evolutionary scheme, or vice versa. I simply recognize that they are two explanations with different purposes, like two sides to a coin. This way I take the Bible literally and seriously, but also accept the temporary findings of science, knowing that over time these self-correct.
I wonder if any other readers of this website also see things this way.

the wore or bible says that god created us nnot that we evolved outof something but that god formed mab from the dust and that god put the man to sleep and removed a rib and formed women i beleve that if we look at biolegy we will see that god to thisday has man with one less rib than a women simbolizing creation if we were to beleve in creatioon we must be totaly against evolution as then man becomes his own god and is not awnserable to anyone the big bang thery that is so prevelent is probly an echo from the creation of the world some people think that there was a helium explosion and that started the chain of events of creating the world the question is where did the helium come from id we were to beleve this? who created it? god, or someone else? i beleve god i do not beleve the helium was just there anyway how can man be created in the immage of god if we evolved? think of it how can we be made iff there was not a master planner=god in my opinion man is a race as god created2 of wverything 2 cats 2 dogs 2 people or hu mans notee the distinctions manor men and a female of wo man 2 sexes or genders male and fe male == ==== aan is in my view a race with 2 sexes

I believe in Creation as told in the Bible. There is a creation Evidence Musuem in Glen Rose,TX. The founder and director, Dr. Carl Baugh asks how we can believe evolution with the evidence they present. He has a website www.creationevidence.org . Creation science is more plausible than the other theories or possibilities. Look at the evidence!!!

Without going to far I must say that if you are a Bible believeing Christian, the only answer to this question is obvious. We were created by our Lord Jesus Christ throught the power of God the Father. To be sucked in by mans recent theories that were soley thought up for the elevation of man himself, is a sad commentary on Christians today. To me this topic and the topic on homosexuality is utterly absurd and does not deserve the ink I am writing with. Remember what happened to Sodom and Gamorrah. The Bible says that in the end man will contrive his own theories and that the earth will be worse than Sodom and Gamorrah. The Bible is implicit on these issues and they are not up for discussion or change. God says their will be no drunkards or homosexuals in Heaven. Plain and simple. Read the facts don't be persuaded by new theories that will in the end cost you your eternal life. Your brother in Christ Peepinu

I beleave in intelligent creation design. Nature it self teaches us that evolution is a false teaching. If nature is evolved by accident how is it we never see it continuely accidently changing. No one has ever witnessed the evolution of anything. We go throught changes according to our conditions we live in at the moment a not through evolution. We are crated to adapt.
