I love to work out in the garden (it gets very hot during the day, so at night,
Larry sets up a spotlight and he and I work in the yard till midnight and beyond).
I would haul around a little bucket with my tools in it, but then I saw a large
gardening wagon at the store and bought it. It has little pockets in it to organize
all my tools. I am currently using it to put in a drip irrigation system to my flowers,
since I got tired of hauling around a water hose. I can organize the tubing in the main wagon part,
and put each of the little sprinkler heads or drip heads in separate pockets. It's great!
So this week's survey is:
Favorite Labor Saving Device(s)
What is your favorite tool or labor saving device you use around the house, yard, or work? (Excluding computers and other electronic devices.)

My son. Does that count? Naw... Just kidding.
Actually, I found this little egg shaped device at a discount store. What it does is start beeping if the Frig door is left open for longer than 90 seconds. And it will continue to beep until the door is shut! (it is activated by the light, and turns off when it's dark)
I love it!
I used to come into the kitchen in the morning with everything warm in the frig, cause the door was left open by a crack the night before. (I got a 4 year old that loves to get into the frig, and those 'fancy' locks DON'T work) This device has saved me hundreds of dollars! You'd be amazed how much it costs to replace everything in the frig!

An IUD. JUST KIDDING.
A device huh? Time saving device. What will you ask next? :) Love you guys.
No computers in the answer huh? Well, my computer is my biggest consumer of my time so it wouldn't EVEN qualify. :)
How about the vacuum. It would take me quite a while to get my carpet clean without it.
My printer.
My electric stove! If I had to build a fire every evening it would change my life.
Well, now you have given me a few more things to be thankful for tonight.
Female - Age Range: 31-40
My favorite labor saving device would have to be the microwave. I am a cook by trade, and some days, by the time I get home, the last thing I want to do is cook! My daughter will be 'starving', and I don't want to see any form of food for at least and hour! And if I am just not hungry at all, it is convenient to just 'pop one in the nuker', and she has a meal.
Female - Age Range: 31-40
My favourite labour-saving device is the tried-and-true food processor. It is versatile and has many attachments that allow me to 'reduce' a wide range of food items. It can also be used as a blender when I make my 'brew' from fresh fruits.
Female - Age Range: 41-50
I love my dishwasher, because it scrubs, it cleans, it sanitizes. This is a real plus when you have an impatient dog who decides you really didn't want the rest of the that on your plate. (She's basically a good dog, but if you're going to put it on the coffee table, leave the room, well. . .you must want her to have it.)
Female - Age Range: 51-60
All of them are labor saving but are they really labor saving, since in these days we still do not have enough time. In the olden days, a mother worked from early dawn to dusk & had time to socialize & spend time with the children.
Female - Age Range: 61-70
This computer is probably one of the labor saving devices that I love to use, as I do all of my letter writing, card making and article writing on it; much of which I am able to send email. For those whom I send to that do not have email, it is a labor saving device to be able to use the word perfect on this to type my adopted mom a letters. She is 99 years old now and really loves the way I am able to create so many different colors, type settings and the cards that I make she is inthralled with each one that I send to her. Also at Christmastime it sure saves a lot of letter writing.
Male - Age Range: 21-30
It has to be duct tape. No doubt. That stuff can fix anything!
As I always say: 'If you canīt fix it with at big hammer and some duct tape, you donīt need it' :-)
DUCT TAPE RULES!!!
Male - Age Range: 21-30
A leaf blower, since I can do less raking of fall leaves.
Male - Age Range: 41-50
Remote control and coffee maker!
Male - Age Range: 51-60
My most favorite labor saving device/tool is the brain that Father gave me. It works with great energy efficiency and can be used to evaluate and modify all other tasks to more be less labor and resource intensive.
