With more and more people concerned about safety on the internet, we are reviewing options members can take to talk to one another via voice, but also be safe.
Most women like to assure their safety in online dating. They may call a man's phone, but use call blocking. However, a man can forward a regular phone to a toll-free service to view the phone number, even if the woman used call block.
Here are some safety options for you.
Google allows download of a free application to your computer, which allows you to talk to your friends. You must have a computer microphone and speakers, which most modern computers have built-in. Google Talk also works with USB phones and wired and wireless headsets.
See GTalk for more details.
Another free service, until at least the end of this year, is Skype. They allow free calls within the U.S. and Canada and provide you a number that anyone in the world can dial into.

Windows Live Messenger also offers a Beta release that allows "real-time text, video and voice conversations" and "Both parties must have compatible Web cams, microphones, and speakers."
Online dating can be fun and safe. Always be prayerful and careful!
