Description: Superfoods improve life and extend it. I lost 40lbs with grapefruit juice, went from 2x-3x to L, thyroid levels are normal (YEARS of meds). My eyes opened to the healing properties of food, and I read more on the subject. I pray these foods help you.

Beans lower cholesterol, fight heart disease, stabilize blood sugar, reduce obesity, lessen cancer risk, relieve hypertension. 4 1/2-cup servings/wk. Substitute green beans, sugar snap peas, green peas, chick peas.

Blueberries lower risk heart disease/cancer, healthy skin. 1-2 cups/day. Substitute cranberries, raspberries, strawberries, cherries, currants, purple grapes.

Broccoli boosts immune system, reduces incidence cataracts, builds bones, fights birth defects/heart disease. 1/2-1 c/day. Substitute brussel sprouts, red/green cabbage, cauliflower, bok choy, kale.

Oats lower cholesterol, reduce risk of heart disease/diabetes, high in fiber/protein. 5-7 servings/wk. Substitute wheat germ, brown rice, barley, wheat, buckwheat, rye, millet, and quinoa.

Walnuts reduce risk heart disease, diabetes, cancer. 1oz 5x/wk. Substitute almonds, pistachios, sesame/pumpkin/sunflower seeds, peanuts, macadamia nuts, pecans, hazelnuts, and cashews.

Wild salmon heart disease cancer. 2-4x/wk. Substitute alaskan halibut, albacore tuna, sardines, herring, trout, sea bass, clams.

Yogurt protein calcium, strong bones, healthy heart, menstrual/menopausal. 2c/day. Substitute kefir

[Editor's Note: Years ago when I was dying of anorexia and black outs, my doctor recommended I get off of red meats, but for best results all meats, including fish, turkey, chicken. I did and it saved my life. I would recommend a vegetarian diet. The only thing I eat with eyes are potatoes. - Nannette (I wasn't your typical anorexic who looked in the mirror and saw a fat person, I was really just suffering from malnutrition from having mostly an all-meat diet.)]
